Ready for a Change?

What You'll Find at The Healing Storm Holistic Wellness

Flexible scheduling. We understand that our team members have lives, families, responsibilities, and interests outside of work. Whenever possible, we strive to create schedules that work for both our practitioners and our clients.

Time with your clients. Our goal isn't to rush people in and out the door. We want our practitioners to have the time they need to listen, connect, and provide thoughtful, individualized care.

A holistic approach. We recognize that wellness isn't one-size-fits-all. Our team brings together different specialties, perspectives, and modalities to support the mind, body, and spirit.

A collaborative environment. We believe we're stronger when we work together. Our practitioners have opportunities to collaborate, share knowledge, refer within the practice when appropriate, and learn from professionals in other areas of holistic wellness.

Room to grow. Learning doesn't stop when you earn a license or certification. We value education and encourage our team members to continue developing their skills, exploring new modalities, and growing both personally and professionally.

Your individuality matters. We aren't trying to create a team where everyone practices, thinks, or works exactly the same way. We want each practitioner to bring their own knowledge, experience, personality, and strengths to The Healing Storm.

A small-business atmosphere. You're not just another name on a schedule. We're building a team where people know one another, support one another, communicate openly, and have the opportunity to contribute to the continued growth of The Healing Storm.

Come Grow With Us

We're not looking for someone who simply wants to clock in, perform massages, and clock out.

We're looking for a therapist who cares about their craft, cares about their clients, and wants to be part of a growing holistic wellness community.

If you're ready for flexible hours, more individualized client care, therapeutic-focused bodywork, and a workplace that feels more like family, we'd love to meet you.

Licensed Massage Therapist — Job Description

Are you a Licensed Massage Therapist who wants the time and freedom to actually work with your clients instead of rushing them through appointments?

Are you interested in moving beyond traditional spa-style massage and developing your skills in a more therapeutic, individualized approach to bodywork?

The Healing Storm Wellness Center is looking for a Licensed Massage Therapist to join our growing team. We are a holistic wellness center focused on providing personalized care in an environment where practitioners can work collaboratively, continue learning, and build meaningful relationships with their clients.

Position Overview

As a Licensed Massage Therapist, you will provide individualized massage and bodywork sessions based on each client's needs, goals, preferences, and appropriate scope of practice.

We aren't interested in turning treatment rooms as quickly as possible. We want our therapists to have the opportunity to listen to their clients, develop thoughtful treatment approaches, and provide quality therapeutic care.

Flexible hours are available, making this a great opportunity for an experienced therapist looking to add hours to an existing schedule or someone interested in building a client base in a supportive holistic wellness environment.

Preferred Modalities & Experience

We are especially interested in therapists with experience or training in one or more of the following:

  • Deep Tissue Massage
  • Manual Lymphatic Drainage (MLD)
  • Cupping
  • Gua Sha
  • Prenatal
  • Therapeutic Massage
  • Myofascial techniques
  • Trigger Point Therapy
  • Other therapeutic or specialized bodywork modalities

You do not need to practice every modality listed above. We are interested in therapists who bring their own skills, experience, and approach to the table.

What We're Looking For

The right therapist will:

  • Hold a current Maryland massage therapy license in good standing
  • CPR Certification
  • Maintain required professional liability insurance
  • Provide professional, ethical, client-centered care
  • Understand appropriate boundaries, contraindications, and scope of practice
  • Maintain accurate and appropriate client documentation
  • Be dependable and communicate professionally with clients and team members
  • Be comfortable working independently while also being part of a collaborative team
  • Have an interest in therapeutic and individualized bodywork
  • Be willing to continue learning and developing professionally
  • Respect the different wellness modalities and practitioners working within our center

Licensed Acupuncturist — Job Description

Are you an Acupuncturist looking for a wellness environment where you have the time to work with your clients as individuals—not rush them through appointments?

Do you value a collaborative approach where acupuncture can exist alongside massage therapy, herbalism, Reiki, meditation, sound healing, assisted stretching, and other holistic wellness services?

The Healing Storm Wellness Center is looking for a Licensed Acupuncturist to join our growing team.

We are building a multidisciplinary holistic wellness environment centered around individualized care, education, collaboration, and supporting the whole person—mind, body, and spirit.

Position Overview

The Acupuncturist will provide individualized acupuncture services within their professional scope of practice, developing treatment approaches based on each client's needs, goals, history, and presentation.

We are looking for a practitioner who values spending meaningful time with clients and is interested in being part of a wellness center where different practitioners and modalities can complement one another.

Flexible scheduling is available, making this an excellent opportunity for an established acupuncturist looking for an additional practice location, someone building their clientele, or a practitioner interested in becoming part of a multidisciplinary holistic wellness team.

Responsibilities

The Acupuncturist will be responsible for:

  • Conducting appropriate client consultations and assessments
  • Developing individualized acupuncture treatment plans
  • Providing acupuncture services within professional scope of practice
  • Educating clients about acupuncture and their treatment plans
  • Monitoring client progress and adjusting treatment approaches when appropriate
  • Maintaining accurate, timely, and confidential client documentation
  • Following appropriate sanitation, infection-control, clean needle, and safety protocols
  • Recognizing contraindications and referring clients to other healthcare professionals when appropriate
  • Maintaining professional and ethical boundaries
  • Communicating professionally with clients, staff, and other practitioners
  • Collaborating with other members of the wellness team when appropriate and with client consent
  • Maintaining all required licenses, certifications, continuing education, and professional liability coverage

Qualifications

Applicants should:

  • Hold a current Maryland license to practice acupuncture in good standing
  • Meet all applicable state requirements for practicing acupuncture
  • Maintain current professional liability insurance
  • Demonstrate strong knowledge of acupuncture principles, safety, contraindications, and client care
  • Maintain appropriate sanitation and infection-control practices
  • Have strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Be dependable, professional, and comfortable practicing independently
  • Value individualized rather than one-size-fits-all care
  • Respect the roles and scopes of practice of other wellness professionals
  • Be interested in working within a collaborative holistic wellness environment

Experience is welcomed, but equally important to us is finding the right practitioner for our team and our clients.

Additional Modalities Are a Plus

We welcome acupuncturists who bring additional education, experience, or complementary approaches to their practice, including areas such as:

  • Traditional Chinese Medicine
  • Five Element Acupuncture
  • Auricular Acupuncture
  • Electroacupuncture
  • Cupping
  • Gua Sha
  • Moxibustion
  • Acupressure
  • Other complementary approaches that fall within the practitioner's education, licensing, and legal scope of practice

Additional modalities are preferred but not required.

Reiki Master — Job Description

Are you a Reiki Master who believes energy work can be a meaningful part of whole-person wellness?

Are you looking for a professional environment where Reiki is respected as a complementary wellness practice and where you can take the time to create individualized, intentional sessions for your clients?

The Healing Storm Wellness Center is looking for a Reiki Master to join our growing holistic wellness team.

We bring multiple approaches to wellness together under one roof, giving clients opportunities to explore practices that support the mind, body, and spirit while giving practitioners the opportunity to collaborate, learn from one another, and grow within their individual specialties.

Position Overview

The Reiki Master will provide individualized Reiki sessions designed to support relaxation, grounding, stress management, energetic balance, and overall well-being.

Our Reiki practitioners aren't expected to provide identical sessions or follow a one-size-fits-all approach. We value the individual experience, training, intuition, and practice style that each Reiki Master brings to their work while maintaining clear professional and ethical boundaries.

Flexible scheduling is available, making this an excellent opportunity for an established Reiki practitioner looking for an additional practice location, someone working to grow their clientele, or a Reiki Master interested in joining a multidisciplinary holistic wellness center.

Responsibilities

The Reiki Master will be responsible for:

  • Conducting appropriate client consultations before Reiki sessions
  • Providing professional, individualized Reiki sessions
  • Creating a comfortable, respectful, and supportive environment for clients
  • Explaining Reiki to new clients in understandable and approachable language
  • Discussing client preferences regarding hands-on or hands-off Reiki when appropriate
  • Respecting client boundaries, comfort levels, beliefs, and personal experiences
  • Maintaining appropriate client records and documentation
  • Maintaining client privacy and confidentiality
  • Following all Healing Storm policies and professional standards
  • Maintaining appropriate sanitation and treatment-room practices
  • Recognizing when a client's needs fall outside the practitioner's role and referring the client to an appropriate licensed healthcare or mental-health professional when necessary
  • Communicating professionally with clients, staff, and other practitioners
  • Collaborating with other members of the wellness team when appropriate and with client permission
  • Continuing to develop professionally through education, practice, and appropriate continuing study

  • Be comfortable practicing independently while also working as part of a larger team
  • Understand the importance of informed consent and professional boundaries
  • Respect different spiritual, religious, cultural, and personal beliefs

  • Avoid diagnosing medical or mental-health conditions or making promises or guarantees regarding outcomes
  • Be interested in continuing to learn and grow as a practitioner

Additional Training Is a Plus

We welcome Reiki Masters who have additional education or experience in complementary wellness practices such as:

  • Tuning forks
  • Crystal-based practices
  • Spiritual wellness practices

We bring multiple approaches to wellness together under one roof, allowing clients to explore services that support the mind, body, and spirit while giving practitioners opportunities to collaborate, continue learning, and grow within their individual specialties.

  • Value individualized client care
  • Understand that reflexology is a complementary wellness practice and not a replacement for appropriate medical care
  • Be interested in continuing to learn and grow professionally

Additional Training Is a Plus

  • Hand Reflexology
  • Foot Reflexology
  • Ear or Auricular Reflexology
  • Aromatherapy
  • Reiki or Energy Work
  • Sound Healing
