Massage is the manipulation of soft and connective tissue to help alleviate pain and stress, and allow the body to relax and heal. There are over 300 modalities (specialties) within massage, such as hot stone, geriatric, prenatal, deep tissue, trigger point, muscle energy techniques, and many more. Each modality helps in different ways and many times the therapist will incorporate several during a massage session.
Massage is no longer just viewed as a luxury...Massage is a main staple to a happy, healthy, and balanced life.
As with most types of therapy, massage therapy is individualized to the person. Even if the exact same modalities are used, the massages will be different. No two people will ever have the exact same massage.
